PROJECT: SPEAK EUROPEAN
The Office for European Integration is the main partner of the project “Speak European - Professional Development for European Union Accession”, which foresees professional training and practice in the European Union for more than 200 civil servants and employees in the local self-government in the Republic of Serbia. The project has been implemented from 1 February 2010 by the British Council, European Institute of Public Administration from Maastricht and College of Europe from Bruges, and financed from the EU IPA 2008 Fund.
Programs were implemented between January and July of 2011, and applications were sent only by civil servants and employees in local self-governments who deal with issues relevant for the preparation of Serbia’s accession to the European Union.
It has been foreseen that at least 180 candidates shall participate in 6 training programmes, which will be carried out for maximum three weeks at the College of Europe in Bruges and at the European Institute of Public Administration in Maastricht, while at least 30 candidates shall work in institutions of the European Union and member states for a period of 3 months. Candidates that work in the fields of acquis communautaire were given an advantage.
The project also contains the component of three-week training for community multipliers in the field of European Integration.
All details regarding the project and procedures of choosing candidates can be found on the website www.govev.rs.
