The Second Call for the submission of project proposals under the (Interreg VI-B) IPA Adriatic-Ionian Programme – IPA ADRION was published on 15 April 2025.

The deadline for submitting project proposals is 30 June 2025 until 1:00 PM.

The IPA ADRION Programme will allocate approximately EUR 21.9 million for project funding under the Second Call. The maximum EU contribution to project budgets is 85%. The maximum budget amount per project is EUR 1,200,000.00 (the part of the budget financed by the EU).

The Programme will support projects focused on one of the defined specific objectives and corresponding indicative activities within Programme Priorities 1, 2, and 3, namely:

Priority 1 – Supporting a smarter Adriatic-Ionian region

Priority 2 – Supporting a greener Adriatic-Ionian region more resilient to climate change

Priority 3 – Supporting a carbon-neutral and better-connected Adriatic-Ionian region

The IPA ADRION Programme promotes economic, social, and territorial cohesion in the Adriatic-Ionian region through policy integration in selected fields of action. The Programme provides financial support to those transnational cooperation projects that foster innovation, contribute to environmental conservation, and improve connectivity in the Adriatic-Ionian region.

The programme area includes the territories of 10 countries forming the macro-region, four of which are EU Member States: Greece, Croatia, Slovenia, and Italy (regions of Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Veneto, Lombardy, Emilia-Romagna, Marche, Umbria, Abruzzo, Molise, Apulia, Basilicata, Calabria, and Sicily, as well as the two autonomous provinces of Trento and Bolzano) and six non-EU countries: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Serbia, Montenegro, and San Marino.

Each project, with implementation limited to a maximum of 36 months, must involve at least four financing partners from four different countries in the programme area, of which at least two partners must be from two different EU Member States and at least two partners from two different IPA countries. Partners from the Republic of Serbia may also act as Lead Partner in the project. More information on partner eligibility can be found in the Programme’s Application Manual.
