
From March to October this year, the border crossing Serbian Itebej – Otelec will be open during the last weekend of each month, enabling communities to connect through environmentally sustainable mobility on land and water.
Upcoming dates:
29–30 March: Cycling.
26–27 April: Cycling.
23–25 May: Combination of cycling and boating.
Border crossing opening hours (valid ID card or passport required):
07:00 – 19:00 (Serbian side)
08:00 – 20:00 (Serbian side)
Thanks to the financial support of the European Union through the Interreg-IPA Cross-Border Cooperation Programme Romania-Serbia (2014–2020), cycling enthusiasts can now effortlessly explore this region. The 70 km Timișoara – Zrenjanin route, tracing the path of the River Begej, fosters cross-border cooperation, promotes sustainable tourism and supports the development of local communities.
