Meeting of the Council of the Coordination Body for Serbia’s EU Accession Process Held

A meeting of the Council of the Coordination Body for the Republic of Serbia’s EU accession process was held today at the Palace of Serbia, where discussions focused on key issues related to the plan for accelerating the country’s EU accession and fulfilling obligations under the process by the end of 2026.

Minister of European Integration and Chair of the Council Tanja Miščević, together with the heads of all negotiating groups, state secretaries from ministries whose representatives do not lead negotiating groups, and other Council members reviewed the methodology by which all competent institutions of the Republic of Serbia will achieve the clear national goal of aligning with EU law and practice by the end of 2026. The meeting participants agreed on the further procedure for achieving this goal, primarily through a coordinated approach in implementing measures from Serbia’s Reform Agenda, the National Programme for the Adoption of the Acquis, recommendations from the European Commission’s Annual Report, and other documents that have so far defined Serbia’s obligations in the accession process.
