A new edition of the Collection of the Best Student Papers on the European Union for 2024 has been published under the title “Serbia on Its Path to the EU.” The Collection is the result of the eighth competition organised by the Ministry of European Integration of the Republic of Serbia, aiming to encourage students to reflect on key issues regarding Serbia’s European integration and the challenges faced by the European Union.
The papers in this edition address various aspects of European integration, including economics, the rule of law, gender equality, and political identity. The selection committee, composed of professors from the University of Belgrade, assessed the works as being of a high academic standard. This year’s collection also includes papers by students from France, who were awarded in a special competition on the relations between the EU, France, and the Western Balkans. The competition was organised by the Ministry of European Integration in collaboration with the French Institute in Serbia, the Jacques Delors Institute, the University of Bordeaux, and the Maison de l’Europe Bordeaux-Aquitaine.
The Collection is a significant contribution to the academic dialogue on Serbia’s future in the EU, offering students and researchers valuable insights into key issues of European integration.
