Contracting Parties
The SP4EUSAIR project is contracted between:
• Emilia-Romagna Region, represented by the General Directorate for Resources, Europe, Innovation, and Institutions (Managing Authority - MA) of the Interreg VI-B IPA Adriatic Ionian Programme (IPA ADRION), involving Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Greece, Italy, Montenegro, North Macedonia, San Marino, Serbia, and Slovenia.
• Ministry of Regional Development and EU Funds of the Republic of Croatia, acting as the Lead Partner under Article 26 of Regulation (EU) 2021/1059.
The Ministry of European Integration of the Republic of Serbia participates as a project partner, actively contributing to the development and implementation of strategic implementation formats. Through its role, the Ministry supports the coordination of activities within the EUSAIR strategy and strengthens institutional capacities for efficient EU funds management.

Project Significance
The SP4EUSAIR project plays a crucial role in enhancing cooperation in the Adriatic-Ionian region by supporting the development and implementation of strategic initiatives. Its outcomes will contribute to improving institutional capacities, enabling more efficient management of EU funds and the implementation of large-scale infrastructure and development projects.
Through this project, Serbia gains access to improved mechanisms for project development within the EUSAIR strategy, ensuring better utilization of EU funds and greater institutional preparedness for future funding programs.
Project Objectives and Expected Results
The SP4EUSAIR project aims to strengthen the institutional capacities of public authorities and stakeholders for the implementation of the EUSAIR strategy. By developing strategic implementation formats, the project enhances cooperation and governance in the Adriatic-Ionian region.

Role of the Ministry of European Integration of the Republic of Serbia
The Ministry of European Integration of the Republic of Serbia plays an active role in the implementation of the project, contributing to the development of strategic formats and facilitating project proposal preparation. Through this project, the Ministry supports:
✔ Development of a methodological approach for selecting and finalizing key strategic projects
✔ Assistance to Serbian institutions in project planning and implementation
✔ Strengthening capacities for EU fund utilization and EUSAIR strategy implementation
Implementation Period
The project will be implemented from September 1, 2023, to December 31, 2027.
